MILF rescues 9yr old kidnapped by Abu Sayyaf
On Basilan Island the community all seemed to pitch in to safetly recover a nine year old girl from the clutches of two Abu Sayyaf members who kidnapped her two days ago - the young girl was on a motorcycle with another person when two men blocked thier path and kidnbapped her.
The identified as members of the group of Abu Sayyaf members on the Island were intercepted by a band of MILF fighters.

Police in basilan worked with the Abu Sayyaf to recover the young girl who was kidnapped for ransom, the family - had been talking to the kidnappers and the family is not pressing charges at this time and are only happy to have the young girl safetly.
Meanwhile the Philippine Daily inquirer has a different version of events.
